How to properly remove Soft Gel Press Ons

Step 01

Apply oil remover

Apply the remover oil to the edges of the nails, massage it in well, and gently loosen the edges of the press-ons with the rosewood stick.

Tip

Instead of the rosewood stick, you can also use our Duo Nail Tool. The metal side can be used to gently loosen the press-on edges.

Step 02

Soak nails in oil bath

Fill our remover bowl with warm water and add 1-2 pipettes of remover oil and 2 pumps of soap. Alternatively, you can also use a small key. Then soak your nails for about 10 minutes. During this time, use the rosewood stick or duo nail tool to lift and loosen the press-ons.

Step 03

Removing soft gel press-ons

Now you can carefully lift and remove the Soft Gel Press Ons with the rosewood stick or the Duo Nail Tool. If necessary, soak them in the oil bath again for a few minutes.

Step 04

Remove adhesive residue from the natural nail

You can gently remove glue residue on the natural nail with a Buffer or a cleansing wipe.

Step 05

Remove adhesive residue from press-on nails

To remove the adhesive residue from the underside of the press-ons, take a rosewood stick, place it in the center of the adhesive sticker, and simply roll it up. This makes it easy to reuse your press-on nails.

Note

This step only applies to the use of adhesive stickers. If you have attached your press-ons with nail glue, the adhesive residue usually cannot be removed without leaving traces, and you will not be able to reuse your press-ons.

Step 06

Caring for hands and nails

After removal, a little care will do your nails a world of good. If you're not starting a new manicure right away, give them a little break and gently massage our nail oil into the cuticles and natural nails to moisturize them and provide them with nourishing vitamins.

Yes, you can remove your Press Ons at any time using our removal method. If you've only worn them for a short time and they still adhere more strongly to your natural nails, you can simply let your nails soak a little longer in the oil bath and add more nail oil if needed. In between, gently lift the Press Ons with the rosewood stick so the liquid can get underneath.

Yes. Dishwashing liquid has the same effect as soap: it acts as an emulsifier and ensures that water and oil mix well. Just make sure to avoid aggressive dishwashing liquids, as these will negate the nourishing effect of the oil bath.

To remove adhesive residue from the underside of the press-ons, take a rosewood stick, place it in the center of the adhesive sticker, and simply roll it up. This will remove all adhesive residue from the press-ons, allowing you to reuse them.

Sometimes it takes a little longer for the adhesive stickers or nail glue to dissolve – especially if the nails have only been worn for a few days. Simply add a little more oil to the water and soak your nails for a few extra minutes. In between, gently work with the rosewood stick to lift and loosen the Press Ons.

Removal usually takes between 10 and 15 minutes, depending on whether the press-ons were attached with nail glue or adhesive stickers and how long they were worn.

Yes, if you wore them with the adhesive stickers! If you carefully peel them off and remove the adhesive residue, you can reuse the nails several times. It is best to store them in their original packaging and disinfect them before reuse.

Unfortunately, reuse is not possible with nail glue. If you want to wear your Soft Gel Press Ons multiple times, we recommend using our adhesive stickers – this way, you can easily reuse the nails after removing them.
