Soft Gel Press Ons

Application

You can attach your press-ons either with the adhesive stickers provided or with nail glue. Follow the steps below:

  • File natural nails, gently push back cuticles, remove invisible cuticles at the base of the nail and roughen the nail surface.
  • Clean nails thoroughly with the cleaning cloth.
  • TIP: You usually have the same size on both hands for each nail. Press-ons that are too large can simply be filed narrower at the edges.
1st OPTION: Application with the ADHESIVE STICKERS:
  • Stick the adhesive sticker with protective film onto the nail and press on firmly. Remove air bubbles at the edges with the rosewood stick and peel off the protective film./Position the press-ons at a 45-degree angle at the base of the nail and slowly lower them with a little pressure. Press on well for approx. 60 seconds.
    2. OPTION: Application with the Nail Glue:
  • Apply nail glue generously to the adhesive side of the Press On nail. If necessary, apply a thin coat of nail glue to the natural nail.
  • Position the Press Ons at a 45-degree angle at the base of the nail and slowly lower them with a little pressure. Press on firmly for approx. 60 seconds.

IMPORTANT: Do not file at the tip, otherwise the sealant of the top coat may come loose/peel off.It is best to file press-ons narrower only on the sides.

If you use the Adhesive stickers provided, the press-ons will usually last around 5-7 days. If you stick them on with the Doonails Nail glue, they will last for approx. 14 days. The durability always depends on the individual application and the stress on the nails.

Possible reasons for a shorter shelf life are:

  • Pool and salt water.
  • High stress on the nails
  • Oily oils or creams
  • Aggressive rinsing and cleaning agents
  • Inappropriate use

YES! Our Press On Box contains everything you need for a manicure and the Press Ons themselves no longer need to be filed. However, it is an advantage if you file your natural nails into shape and roughen the surface before applying the Press Ons. You will need a file for this.

If you use Adhesive stickers, make sure you apply them carefully to the natural nail: Always stick the stickers to the nail with protective foil and then remove all air bubbles with a light brush. This works particularly well with the enclosed rosewood stick. Only then do you remove the protective film and press the press-ons firmly onto the natural nail.

If you prefer to use Nail glue, always apply a sufficient amount to the adhesive surface of the press-ons to completely fill the ‘cavity’ between your natural nail and the press-on nail. You can also apply a thin layer of nail glue to your natural nail.

No, the adhesive stickers can only be used once, as they lose their adhesive strength afterwards.

You should not skimp on glue on the press-ons.You can also apply glue to the natural nail, but make sure you apply a thin layer. If there is any glue on the edges of the nail after applying the press-ons, you can simply wipe it off with a tissue before it has dried.

If you attach your Press Ons with Adhesive stickers, you can use them until they no longer look nice to you. However, before using them again, make sure that no adhesive residue is left on the underside and that all oil residue is removed.

If you apply your press-ons with Nail glue, you will most likely only be able to use them once, as a remover is required to remove them, which will probably change the appearance of your press-ons. The adhesive residue is also very difficult to remove.

An unnatural appearance can have several causes.

  • Too large: If the press-ons are too large and therefore protrude or lie unevenly on the edges, the nails look disproportionate and detract from the overall impression.
  • Too small a size: If you choose press-ons that are too small, they do not cover the entire nail bed, cause unevenness and are less durable./Not applied correctly
  • Improperly: If you don't take enough time to apply your press-ons and don't work accurately, air bubbles can form under the press-ons or glue can overflow at the edges. This also has a negative effect on the overall look.
  • Wrong shape for your nails/hand: The shape you have chosen may look unnatural. Take your time to think about whether you are more the type for short, long, round, pointed or square nails and try out other shapes.

It is important that the nail plate is thoroughly cleaned with the alcohol-soaked cleaning cloth after buffing and before applying the press-ons in order to remove any greasy residue from the nail. This is the only way to ensure optimum durability.

This can happen if you frequently bump the press-ons or file the tip too hard during application. This loosens the sealant and the top coat peels off.

Our press-ons are slightly curved to lie perfectly on the natural nail. Very flat, soft natural nails can possibly cause pain, as they are forced into the same ‘tunnel curvature’ as the Press Ons due to the firm connection and there are permanent tensile forces.

Another reason for pain can be choosing the wrong size. Especially if you wear a size that is too small on your nails, this can also exert unpleasant pressure.

However, sometimes it is just a question of getting used to it. After 1-2 days, the initial pressure should usually be over.

No need to worry!

Our Press Ons are made from an innovative gel formula and contain neither HEMA nor DI-HEMA. They are also free from benzoyl peroxide, which can often cause skin irritation and allergies. This makes them the ideal choice for allergy sufferers!

That's not a problem. Just make sure you choose the adhesive stickers to match the width of your nails and always place them at the base of the nail. Even if there is still space to the tip of the nail, sufficient hold is guaranteed.

If you are working with Adhesive stickers, we recommend that you do not use nail oil or creams, as this can have a negative effect on durability.

If you use Nail glue, you can care for your cuticles as usual.

Soft Gel Press-Ons must of course remain hard while worn and should not bend with the natural nail. Due to the production process, this cannot be done differently, as excessive flexibility would cause them to break, just like natural nails.

The gel technology used here ensures that even after removal, the nails return to their original shape without cracks or breaks, even if bent.

This property makes them particularly durable and therefore reusable. However, reusability is only possible if they are applied using adhesive stickers.

How can press-ons be reused?
You can apply your press-ons either with the included adhesive tabs or with nail glue. Follow these steps:

  1. File your natural nails, gently push back the cuticles, remove any invisible cuticle at the nail base, and lightly buff the nail surface.
  2. Clean your nails thoroughly with the cleansing wipe.
  3. Carefully remove any glue residue with the wooden cuticle stick, and if needed, use a little nail oil. Then rinse the press-ons with water and let them dry completely.
Important: Clean the back of the press-ons thoroughly with the cleansing wipe to ensure no glue or oil residue remains.

Option 1: Application with ADHESIVE TABS
Apply the adhesive tab with its protective film onto your nail and press firmly. Use the wooden cuticle stick to remove air bubbles along the edges, then peel off the protective film.
Place the press-on at a 45-degree angle at the nail base and slowly lower it with light pressure. Press down firmly for about 60 seconds.

Option 2: Application with NAIL GLUE
Apply nail glue generously to the adhesive side of the press-on nail. Optionally, apply a thin layer of glue to your natural nail as well.
Place the press-on at a 45-degree angle at the nail base and slowly lower it with light pressure. Press down firmly for about 60 seconds.

Important: Press-ons should not be shortened by excessive filing, as this may damage or lift the top coat seal. If the tip of the nail tree is still slightly visible, it can be carefully filed down. Ideally, only file the press-ons narrower at the sides.

For the best durability of the adhesive stickers, proper preparation is essential. We recommend that you avoid washing your hands or applying cream or oil about 30 minutes before application. Before applying the adhesive stickers, it is also very important to gently buff the nail surface with a buffer or fine file, remove the thin cuticle layer at the base, and then clean your nails with the included cleaning wipe.
Also make sure to choose the adhesive stickers that match the width of your nails and always place them as close as possible to the nail base.

After placing the adhesive stickers on your natural nail, you can easily trim them to match the size of your nail. Then you can remove the protective film and apply your Soft Gel Press-Ons as usual.

You can use nail serum daily even while wearing the Soft Gel Press Ons. If you have attached the Soft Gel Press Ons with nail glue, their durability will not be affected. However, if you are using the adhesive stickers, the serum may reduce adhesion. Therefore, it is recommended to apply the serum mainly to the cuticles and the natural nail at the edges so that it does not get under the Soft Gel Press Ons.

Nail oil should not be used while wearing the Soft Gel Press Ons, as oil can loosen the adhesive stickers and nail glue. However, it is ideal for nail care after removing the Soft Gel Press Ons.

Applying nail polish over the Soft Gel Press Ons is generally not recommended, as the surface of the Soft Gel Press Ons is already sealed with a top coat and does not provide the same adhesion as your natural nail. This can result in a less durable finish.

Applying Gel Strips over the Soft Gel Press Ons is generally not recommended, as the surface of the Soft Gel Press Ons is already sealed with a top coat and does not provide the same adhesion as your natural nail. This can result in a less durable finish.

Applying nail art over the Soft Gel Press Ons is generally not recommended, as the surface of the Soft Gel Press Ons is already sealed with a top coat and does not provide the same adhesion as your natural nail.

This can result in a less durable finish.

Distance

  • Apply nail oil to the nail edges and massage in well so that the glue/stickers come off more easily.
  • Put warm water, 1-2 pipettes of nail oil & 2 pumps of soap in a bowl. If
you have used Nail glue, add about 10 ml Doonails Remover to the oil bath.
  • Let the nails soak for approx. 10 minutes. Meanwhile, keep lifting and loosening the press-ons with the rosewood stick until they come off completely.
  • If necessary, soak again in the oil bath for a few minutes.
  • Gently remove adhesive residue with the buffer.
  • Care for nails with nail oil.

Removing the press-ons is super easy and cares for your nails and hands at the same time. It is important that the water is pleasantly warm and that you add a little soap of your choice, as this ensures that the oil and water mix well.

Yes, you can remove your press-ons at any time using our removal method. If you have only been wearing them for a short time and they are therefore still stuck to your natural nails, you can simply add more oil and remover to the water bath and leave them to soak a little longer. Keep using the rosewood stick to lift and loosen the press-ons.

If you have applied your press-ons with nail glue, the combination of remover, nail oil, warm water and soap is the perfect mixture for efficient and gentle removal. Our remover is ideal for dissolving the stubborn nail glue under the press-ons.

Washing-up liquid has the same effect as soap: it acts as an emulsifier and ensures that water and oil mix well.Just be careful not to use aggressive agents, otherwise the nourishing effect of the oil bath will be lost.

To remove the adhesive residue from the stickers on the underside of the Soft Gel Press Ons, carefully place the tip of the rosewood stick between the sticker and the Soft Gel Press Ons. Slowly turn the stick in one direction so the adhesive wraps around the stick and can be easily removed.

We have demonstrated this process in our removal video. You can watch it at the following link:

Colours/Shapes/Sizes

We strongly advise against filing the press-ons into a different shape, as filing at the tip of the nail can loosen the sealant with the top coat and cause it to peel over time.

We have opted for 15 different sizes so that we can guarantee to offer the right one for everyone. This means we even have 3 sizes more than many other suppliers. If the press-ons are too big, you can simply file them gently narrower at the edges. This does not affect the durability of the seal, as there is no risk of bumping into the edges.

There are currently 30+ colours/designs in 4 different shapes. But we will be adding more great colours and designs to our Press-On range in the near future.

Our shop images may appear slightly different on nails depending on the lighting (daylight or studio light).

We have tried to capture the colors in different variations.

In addition, colors on images may vary depending on the screen (brightness, night mode).

Longer Soft Gel Press On shapes need to be more stable so they don’t easily break or bend.

That’s why the material thickness is adjusted during production:

Stability: The longer the nail, the more pressure it is exposed to in daily life (e.g., typing or gripping).

A thicker structure ensures the nail doesn’t bend or break as quickly.

Shape retention: Thinner, long Soft Gel Press Ons could deform more easily due to external influences.

A slightly thicker base ensures an even and long-lasting shape.

Length-to-strength ratio: Shorter nails need less material to stay stable, while longer nails require additional

reinforcement to remain durable.

Our Soft Gel Press Ons are designed to provide an optimal balance between stability and a natural wearing feel.

First of all, don't panic. This is harmless and can happen with any manicure method if, for example, the nails are still a little damp from washing your hands before application or if the press-ons can already be lifted off easily and air gets underneath. Bacteria can easily collect underneath and the nail turns greenish in colour at this point.

It is now important to keep the affected nail dry and allow the greenie to grow out. You can then continue as normal with the manicure method of your choice.

However, if you are unsure whether it is a nail fungus, I would advise you to seek advice from a pharmacy.

The thickness of the products varies from model to model. This is because different shapes require different structures to provide the necessary stability for everyday use.

Longer nail shapes are generally somewhat thicker, as the nail tip in particular is subjected to considerable stress and must not bend, even under higher loads.

Shorter shapes, on the other hand, can be made thinner because they lie closer to the natural nail and are subjected to less pressure.

Our goal is to make our Soft Gel Press-Ons as natural as possible. Therefore, we always work with the thinnest possible structure without compromising stability.

Our Soft Gel Press-Ons are designed to adapt to as many nail shapes as possible through different sizes and slight flexibility. In rare cases, however, they may not fit every nail perfectly.

A small gap can occur if the natural nail curvature differs significantly from the shape of the Press-Ons. In such cases, it often helps to gently bend the Press-Ons slightly before applying them or to try a different size.

The choice of attachment method can also make a difference: while adhesive stickers are ideal for easy and gentle application, nail glue often provides an even stronger bond and a closer fit on the nail.

We are already working on reducing the plastic content, even though we currently use recyclable materials. We continue to work on a solution that is both sustainable and strong, while maintaining high quality.

Our Soft Gel Press-Ons are reusable, and the included cleaning wipes are enough for two applications – as only one wipe is needed per use. For all further applications, we offer a convenient 40-piece set of cleaning wipes so you can always prepare your nails hygienically and thoroughly.

Our sets are designed so that as many customers as possible can find their perfect size. That’s why we offer a wide selection of 15 different sizes to make sure everyone is happy. If one nail is too large, it often helps to gently file the sides to adjust the shape. While offering individual size options would be great, it is unfortunately not logistically feasible for us at the moment.

Our shortest shapes, like Extra Short Square, are designed to be the thinnest as they sit closer to your natural nail and are exposed to less pressure. Longer nail shapes are generally slightly thicker because the nail tip is particularly stressed and must not bend even under higher pressure.

The small excess at the tip of the Soft Gel Press-On is normal due to production and can be carefully filed down. This does not affect the durability or quality of the product.

Our adhesive stickers are designed to provide strong yet gentle adhesion on the nail. Depending on the batch, we use two slightly different adhesive formulations, both of which have been carefully tested. The ingredients are:

Variant 1: Ethylhexyl Acrylate, Polyethylene Terephthalate, Polyethylene
Variant 2: Acrylates Copolymer, Polyethylene Terephthalate, Polyethylene

If you have particularly sensitive skin or known allergies, we recommend consulting your doctor about the ingredients before use.

Our nail glue contains Ethyl Cyanoacrylate and Polymethyl Methacrylate (PMMA). Cyanoacrylates are not classic acrylates. However, PMMA is derived from a substance that may, in rare cases, cause reactions in individuals with acrylate allergies. Please consult your doctor in advance to be certain. It is also possible that people with allergies may react to other ingredients in nail products.

Our Soft Gel Press Ons are made of MABS (Methyl Methacrylate-Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene Copolymer). This is a durable plastic that differs from traditional acrylates and is generally well tolerated. However, since methyl methacrylate (MMA) is used in the production process, it may, in rare cases, contain traces that could trigger a reaction in very sensitive individuals. I recommend checking this with your doctor in advance to be absolutely certain. It is also possible that people with allergies may react to other ingredients in nail products.

No, neither our Press Ons nor the adhesives contain BPA or formaldehyde.

Yes, you can use them. However, the durability of the Soft Gel Press Ons may be negatively affected, as they can loosen more easily when exposed to oils.

Slight color variations between different production batches are common in the cosmetics and nail industry. With each production, the pigments are remixed, which can lead to minimal differences. However, we ensure that all colors remain within strict tolerance limits to guarantee the best possible consistency.

That’s completely normal! Different shapes have different thicknesses, which can slightly affect color perception.

However, the finish remains equally high-quality in every shape.
